Today the Government publishes its Race Disparity Audit.
We very much hope that this initiative will lead to more effective and sustained action by Government, statutory agencies, employers, together with the voluntary & community sectors, to address these long standing inequalities. We believe it is crucial for all agencies to work together with real investment and commitment to bringing about longer term change. A thriving economy depends on everyone being given the opportunity to participate as fully as possible, without facing barriers due to their race, class or faith.
We are doing our part by running programmes like Moving on Up which helps young black men into employment.
