Trust for London has been facilitating the Employment Legal Advice Network since 2014. During the pandemic, in the light of the demands on the employment rights sector, Victoria Speed was appointed to run the Network as Consultant Director.

Since that time, Victoria has built collaborative space for all the members of the employment rights sector to share knowledge, advocate for worker rights and strategic change and hear from key stakeholders in the framework for workplace justice. ELAN now has 60+ members and through Working Groups on AI & Tech and Migrant Workers and initiatives like the ELAN mentoring scheme, ELAN is meeting the needs of members (who are often the sole employment specialist within their organisation) to feel part of a wider community working together to improve access to justice for the most vulnerable workers.

Victoria is moving on to new challenges and we thank her for the work she has done to create what is still the only network that brings together a wide range of organisations working in this space.

What’s next?

Trust for London is committed to supporting ELAN through 2025 and beyond.

We are open to expressions of interests from individuals or an organisation and are open to considering appointing an individual consultant or organisation, working 2/3 days a week. The contract will be for two years with the possibility of extension. If you're a collaborative, organised employment lawyer or have a background in labour rights, and are interested in running ELAN, please see here for more detail.
