Call for expressions of interest: housing affordability evidence scoping study

We're inviting expressions of interest for a short piece of research.

We want to understand the current existence of data and analysis relating to the supply of affordable homes in England. In particular, we're interested in homes that are genuinely affordable and homes for social rent.

We want to improve our understanding of what already exists, who is using it and how, and what improvement could be made, its accessibility and its use by campaigners, journalists and policy-makers in housing.

This is intended as a short, two-month piece of research, to be completed by October 2025, that will result in a short, written report alongside up to two presentations of the results.

This project is commissioned by Trust for London, the Nationwide Foundation, Oak Foundation and Wates Family Enterprise Trust.

Deadline for proposals: 28 May 12pm

Budget: £16,000 (inclusive of VAT)

Delivery timeline: July-October 2025
