Andrew Beal

Andrew joined us as trustee and Chair of our social investment committee in 2023.

Andrew is a senior investment executive with over 30 years’ experience running multi-billion pound portfolios across Asia and the Emerging Markets for Schroders, Janus Henderson, Allianz and DWS. He has worked as a senior director at Big Society Capital, one of the UK’s leading social impact investors, and as the Chair of Central YMCA, a London based education, health and wellbeing charity.

He brings expertise in all aspects of investment, including a strong understanding of social impact investing, and direct experience of the social enterprise sector, leading a charity through the COVID crisis and managing a program of deep organisational change.

Andrew is passionate about finding new ways to develop the vital work of locally-led social enterprises.
