An independent evaluation of a pilot project on child abuse linked to witchcraft and spirit possession.
A Trust for London grant to AFRUCA (Africans Unite Against Child Abuse) supported the one-year Dove Project, which was delivered in partnership with Newham Children & Young People’s Services and Newham Child & Adolescent Mental Health Services.
The project’s aims included:
- increased support to victims and their families.
- increased access to a range of services.
The evaluation was undertaken by The Social Innovation Partnership (TSIP).
This project grew out of the Trust’s five-year special initiative, Safeguarding Children’s Rights, which supported community-based work to tackle child abuse linked to witchcraft and spirit possession.
