A loan of £30,000 and a grant of £10,000 towards the recruitment of a dedicated Sales Manager.
About Youth PWR Network
Youth PWR is a London-based social enterprise, which aims to address the issue of youth unemployment – particularly in areas of deprivation and among Black and minoritised communities.
One of the ways it does this is through Youth PWR magazine – a youth culture and lifestyle magazine, which provides young people with a platform to develop their writing, photography and journalistic skills. It’s distributed across independent stores, educational institutions and youth hubs.
What we funded
We provided Youth PWR with a six-year loan of £40,000, along with a £10,000 grant, towards a dedicated Sales Manager.
Impact
A dedicated Sales Manager will provide new opportunities and help the magazine to grow. This will ultimately allow Youth PWR magazine to offer more employment and training opportunities for young people in London.
The investment from Trust for London has been instrumental in enabling us to expand our training programmes and initiatives. TFL’s support has enabled us to provide more opportunities for young people, helping them gain valuable skills, confidence, and access to creative opportunities through our creatives network.
